I’d like to say thank you to and give a plug to the lovely Andrea Mignolo, author of the Wordpress theme “Ocular Professor” that this site uses.
In its original form she has done a fantastic job of building the theme, primarily for photo bloggers (I suppose I must be one of those) and it is stable even when viewed through a Police corporate firewall. Many WP themes I have tried to view this way go to pieces. Not Andrea’s.
But further than that, she has kindly agreed to do some custom “tweeking” for me. She has inserted my logo, a matching favicon, got the stats working and most importantly given me a dark canvas for my pictures, as opposed to the normal white one that Ocular Professor has. While the white is certainly a nice, popular and modern background, my preference for most of my work is to view them as if they are in a black mat with a white bevel edge.
Andrea, I’m thrilled. Thank you.
If anybody out there wants to engage her services you’ll find she’s reasonable, flexible and fair. Make sure you pay what she asks. She’s worth it!
She is also from very good stock .. her father is Walter Mignolo, Professor of Literature and Romantic Studies at Duke University . Andrea got her Dad online with his own custom designed site. Dads don’t get charged do they?
